Guwahati: While the whole city was struggling to get rid of the extreme situations due to water-logging after the heavy downpour across Guwahati, an old lady was electrocuted in her waterlogged house at Pandu on Tuesday evening.
The woman was declared brought dead at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
The deceased has been identified as Mehendi Baruah.
On Tuesday, the flash floods led to waterlogging inside Baruah’s residence and inundated the inverter and other household commodities in a very short span of time.
The inverter which was also submerged that caused the electrocution of Baruah.
The victim’s body has been taken for conducting post-mortem, her family members informed.
