GUWAHATI: As Assam Police continues its drive against drugs, the Jalukbari police team led by Upen Kalita on Wednesday arrested two drug peddlers in a secret operation in the Goshala area of Jalukbari.
The two have been identified as Kaushik Chand and Taizuddin.
Police managed to seize a number of objectionable items including 19 drug-filled containers, four mobiles, syringes and cash from the two peddlers
Meanwhile, the Jalukbari Police have filed an FIR under ADPS Act 1985 and are continuing the investigation.
Earlier on Tuesday, Chandmari Police arrested a woman drug peddler from the Bamunimaidam area in Guwahati. The 34-year-old woman, Eliza Begum was caught red-handed while selling drugs near the Bamunimaidam railway gate area.
