GUWAHATI: Asmakam Foundation is organizing The Great Guwahati Marathon 2020 on March 1 in Guwahati.
This will be the first night marathon in Guwahati as well as Northeast India.
The marathon will be flagged off from the College of Veterinary Science playground at Khanapara at 05:30 PM.
The marathon is aimed at promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
On the other hand, ‘Warm-up run’ was organized at Veterinary College field at Khanapara on Saturday morning where 500 individuals took part. All of them express their excitement for the upcoming grand event.
Athletes, including veteran and well-known marathoners from India and abroad, are expected to participate in The Great Guwahati Marathon 2020. The event is also a fund-raiser for those affected by devastating floods and erosion in Assam.
