At least three persons including two forest guards sustained injuries after a leopard attacked them in Guwahati’s Fatasil Ambari area on Tuesday morning causing panic among the local residents.
According to sources, the leopard had strayed into a under-construction building at Gauri Sarma Colony in Fatasil Ambari area and subsequently attacked a youth first.
Fortunately, the attack was non-fatal and the person sustained some injuries in his head, neck and knee.
After the attack the locals informed the forest department.
Meanwhile, the leopard is still stuck inside the house.
Local authorities and the forest department have been trying to tranquilize the leopard.
