Guwahati: Regional Dental College girls hostel declared as Containment Zone

GUWAHATI: The girls hostel campus of Regional Dental College in Guwahati has been declared as containment zone after a student tested COVID-19 positive on Thursday. Kamrup (Metro) district administration sealed the campus as a containment zone in the interest of maintenance of public hygiene and to prevent further spread of COVID-19.

“Any unauthorized entry and exit into the notified CONTAINMENT ZONE is barred till the area is declared safe as per guidelines of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GOI. Any movement of any unauthorized individual and vehicle within the notified area is also prohibited with immediate effect. All statutory and other directions regarding maintenance of social distancing will be strictly enforced in the sealed area,” stated in the order issued by Kamrup (M) deputy commissioner (DC).

The boundary of the containment zone is as follows:

North: Residential Boundary of Dr. Dilip Baruah

South: Boundary of Nurses Hostel of GMCH

East: Residential Boundary of Jogeswari Kalita andKailash Kalita West: Dental College Road
