GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police on Wednesday collected Rs 1,18,500 in fine from the people for violating curfew and other COVID-19 norms.
Police carried out multiple drives in several parts of the city against violation of COVID-19 guidelines.
The total sum of the fine collected from the violators on Wednesday was Rs 1,18,500.

The Assam Government has imposed curfew in Kamrup Metropolitan district from 5 pm to 5 am. Police took action against the people who stepped out to the streets without any valid reason.
While total 1,547 COVID-19 cases were detected in the state on Wednesday, Kamrup Metro recorded 193 cases.
