GUWAHATI, Nov 20: A six-year-old boy, abducted by a bike-borne miscreant from Sijubari area of Hatigaon on Sunday, has been rescued by Assam Police on Monday afternoon.
The kidnapper had apparently abducted the minor when he was playing with his elder brother, also a minor.
The incident took place on Sunday evening with the parents of the abducted minor lodging an FIR at Hatigaon Police Station.
Following the police case, a team of the crime branch of Assam Police swung into action and rescued the child from Dakhingaon locality of the city.
