GUWAHATI: Kamrup Metropolitan district administration is set to announce ward-wise lockdown in 11 wards of Guwahati. The decision has been taken in view of rising COVID-19 positive cases in Guwahati. Lockdown will start from 9 PM on Tuesday.

Earlier on Monday minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that health department had recommended ward-wise lockdown in Guwahati to contain COVID-19 pandemic. Several cases with no travel history have been reported in the city in last few days.
