GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday visited Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati to review construction of a laboratory dedicated exclusively to study COVID-19.
“In order to increase our #COVID19 treatment capacity, we need to upgrade our available resources & infrastructure,” Dr. Sarma mentioned in a tweet.

Earlier in the day he visited Patanjali Yogpeeth at Mirza, Palashbari which is being converted into a 250-bedded COVID-19 hospital. It will be inaugurated on Monday.
