GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport to inspect COVID-19 screening facilities for the passengers. Dr. Sarma also reviewed containment measures and other facilities to ensure best preparedness against COVID-19.
He advised airport officials to ensure full precautions and care in view of COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Sarma was accompanied by minister of State for health and family welfare Pijush Hazarika.
So far, Assam has reported 3319 COVID-19 positive cases. Among them some air passengers have also been found positive for COVID-19.
