Guwahati: Assam Police introduces odd-even system for vehicles from April 10

GUWAHATI: Amid lockdown and COVID19 crisis, Assam Police has introduced odd-even system for vehicles in Guwahati city area. The order will come into effect from April 10 to 12.

According to a press release issued by chief public relations officer (CPRO) of Assam Police, vehicles with registrations ending with even numbers to be allowed to ply in Guwahati on Friday and Sunday. Those ending in odd numbers will be allowed to ply on Saturday. Even vehicles with passes will have to follow this directive.

However, ambulance, vehicles of doctors, health workers, media persons, government employees on duty, water tanker and full body trucks carrying goods will be exempted from the order.
