Guwahati: Assam Police has continued their war on drugs and this time they busted a series of drug rackets in different parts of Guwahati within eight hours.
According to official, special squad headed by Joint commissioner of Police (JCP) Partha Mahanta seized one truck, one i20, cash, mobile phones and drugs worth several crores within 8 hours.
Police apprehended total 5 interstate drugs dealers.
On Friday, taking to Twitter Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Continuing its ops @GuwahatiPol Spcl Squad led by JCP Partha Mahanta nabs 3 more interstate drugs dealers; one truck, one i20, cash, mobile phones seized. Total 5 interstate drugs dealers arrested. Drugs worth several crores seized in last 8 hrs. Well done.”

On Thursday, JCP Partha Mahanta seized 70,000 World is Yours tablets and detained two members of an interstate drugs supply network.
