GUWAHATI: Fourteen newly-detected COVID-19 patients were admitted to Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati at midnight in the presence of Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. Amid incessant rain, Dr. Sarma along with minister of state for health and family welfare Pijush Hazarika monitored the admission of the patients.
Talking to media persons Sarma stated that among the new COVID-19 patients there is an employee of a hospital who had collected swabs for COVID-19 tests. On the other hand, a patient of another hospital tested positive for Coronavirus.
Except these two patients, all other patients were under quarantine.
