GUWAHATI: A woman who had travelled to Guwahati from Ahmedabad of Gujarat by flight tested COVID-19 positive on Wednesday. She is the first flight passenger to test COVID-19 positive in Assam after the domestic flight services resumed on Monday.
“We have found a woman as COVID-19 positive today. She travelled by flight from Ahmedabd. We have already admitted her to Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati,” said Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Till the filing of this report, Assam has reported 32 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the State is now 714 with 645 active cases.
