GUWAHATI: Fifteen COVID-19 patients were discharged from Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati on Thursday after they tested negative for COVID-19 twice. Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and his deputy Pijush Hazarika were present during the discharge. Minister Sarma felicitated the patients including Tilak Deka, a laboratory technician at MMCH who got infected on line of duty.
On Thursday, another patient was discharged from Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH).
With this the number of total discharged patients has increased to 103 today. On the other hand, among the total 856 COVID-19 cases, there are 746 active cases in the State. Assam has so far reported 4 COVID-19 related deaths.
