GUWAHATI: Athgaon Karbarstan Masjid of Guwahati has become hot-bed for COVID19 cases in Assam like Nizamuddin Markaz. Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that around 100 people met for a religious event at the mosque on March 12.
“Three COVID19 ositive patients jamaluddin from Karimganj, Jamaluddin Hazi and Rahiuddin were also present there. The mosque has been sealed and declared as containment zone,” said minister Sarma.
He also stated that among the 100 people, 8 were the returnees from Nizamuddin Markaz.
