Good news! Flipkart adds Assamese language

GUWAHATI: Online retail company Flipkart has added the Assamese language on its platform on Friday.

With the addition of Assamese, Flipkart is now available in nine Indian languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati and Odia.

Sharing the news, Assam industry and commerce minister Chandra Mohan Patowary wrote on Facebook, “Glad to inform that Flipkart now offers Assamese language services in marketing of products. This will enable the people of Assam to enjoy e-commerce in our own language.”

It is expected that the addition of the Assamese language on the Flipkart application will simplify the e-commerce journey of customers from Assam and boost the business of local sellers, MSMEs and artisans.
