Assam: Garima Saikia Garg offers building, vehicles to be used for COVID-19 relief


GUWAHATI: Popular singer Zubeen Garg’s wife Garima Saikia Garg has proposed the Assam Government to use their 2-storeyed building located at Kahilipara in Guwahati as a COVID care centre.

The announcement was made by Garima Saikia Garg through her Twitter Handle.

Saikia said, “On behalf of Brindaban Super Market and Brindaban Theatre we want to inform that Government/Administrtion can use our 2 storeyed building in Kahilipara as COVID care Centre. Also, two trucks of Brindaban Theatre will be ready for COVID purposes.”(Translated from Assamese).

It is to be mentioned that  Assam on Wednesday reported 55 COVID-19 fatalities, the highest single-day deaths, pushing the coronavirus death toll to 1,485. The state also registered 4,826 new COVID-19 cases, which took the tally to 2,72,751.
