GUWAHATI: Assam Police arrested two casual forest guards for their alleged involvement in killing world famous one horned rhinoceros in Kaziranga National Park of Assam. Three other poachers have also been arrested.
“Yesterday we came to know about smuggling of a part of rhino horn. Acting on the tip-off, we picked up one person. Based on his confessions, we arrested other persons,” said a senior forest official.
The arrested poachers include the two casual forest guards of the national park.
