GUWAHATI: Dwipen Boro has been appointed as the president of All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) at its special convention at Tamulpur on Wednesday.
Boro has been appointed as the president after Pramod Bodo stepped down from his post. Earlier Dwipen Boro was serving as the vice-president of the ABSU.
On the other hand, Lawrence Islary has been appointed as the new general secretary of the students’ body. The appointment of Islary as the general secretary of the ABSU has dismissed all the speculations over his joining politics.
