GUWAHATI: A large number of people gathered at an Aadhaar enrollment centre in the Lachit Nagar area of Guwahati on Monday violating all the COVID-19 protocols set by the government.
The people who arrived to apply for the Aadhaar card paid no heed to social distancing norms and other precautions. Many of them were also seen without wearing a mask.
“We came at around 2 AM. We have been waiting so long. There is no even water to drink here,” said a woman.
“I have come from Boko Tarabari. I have removed the mask because of the heat,” said another woman who was standing in the queue without wearing the mask .
