GUWAHATI, Jan 24: US authorities have started cracking down on illegal migrants entering the USA illegally with hundreds of them reportedly arrested and deported in a massive crackdown launched just three days after Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of USA.

US authorities have arrested 538 illegal migrants while deporting hundreds of them, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated.

“The Trump Administration arrested 538 illegal immigrant criminals including a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and several illegals convicted of sex crimes against minors,” she said in a social media update on Thursday.

“Trump Administration also deported hundreds of illegal immigrant criminals via military aircraft. The largest massive deportation operation in history is well underway. Promises made. Promises kept,” she added.

President Trump had stated in his speech after taking oath that his administration would secure the America borders as he declared a “national emergency” at the southern border (with Mexico).
