GUWAHATI: The total amount of donations to Assam Arogya Nidhi reached Rs. 31.94 crore on Wednesday. According to the information shared by Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Twitter, 12934 people have contributed a total amount of Rs. 31,94,75 467.85 till Wednesday as a support to the state government’s fight against COVID19.

Meanwhile, the Income Tax Department and Ministry of Finance of the Government of India allowed 100 percent deduction for all donations to Assam Arogya Nidhi. All donations to the state COVID19 fund are now eligible for 100 percent deduction under section 80G(1) of the Income Tax Act.
