GUWAHATI: Responding to Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s call, people in the nook and corner of the state light diyas at their doorsteps praying the Almighty to save the state from COVID19. They also expressed gratitude to the COVID19 warriors who are working day and night against the deadly disease.
Earlier, Assam CM Sonowal appealed the citizens of the state to light diyas at 6PM today which is the first day of Assamese New year. Sonowal expressed hope that the lighting of diyas on the first day of Bohag month will boost the morale of the people in the fight against COVID19.
Sonowal also light diyas and prayed for healthier tomorrow and well-being of frontline warriors.
