GUWAHATI: Home quarantine of around 75 thousand people in Assam will be over by April 9, said health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. These people came from outside the state and are in home quarantine for 14 days as a preventive measure against COVID19.
Speaking to media persons in Guwahati on Tuesday, Dr. Sarma said, “It is a good news for us that the first batch of around 75 thousand people who came from outside Assam and were in home quarantine will be released by April 9. So the work load on Asha workers, ANM, MPW and other health workers will be relieved from April 10.”
