GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma who is leading the fight against COVID19 in the state has also contributed financially to the battle from his salary.
Minister Sarma has donated Rs. 1 lakh to PM Cares Fund and Rs. 50 thousand to Assam Arogya Nidhi from his salary of March.
“Every drop counts! I have donated Rs 1 Lakh towards #PMCaresFund & Rs 50,000 in Assam Arogya Nidhi from my salary of March 2020.Each one of us, as per our capacities, should join this campaign and contribute towards tackling #COVID pandemic. This is going to be a long battle,” Dr. Sarma Tweeted.
