GUWAHATI: As a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the state, Assam Government has decided to keep the government offices shut that fall under the Hotspot districts (Red Zones) in Assam.
Though all the government offices resumed functioning from today, the offices under red zones including Nalbari and Dhubri districts remained shut today.
On the other hand, certain relaxation in essential activities have been given to areas under orange zone including Golaghat district.
According to reports, people under the red zone must follow the rules and all offices and business including Government and Private offices will stay shut till further notice from the Assam Government.
A few offices are being sanitized today in Nalbari district.
All the rules and regulations provided by the authorties are being followed strictly and all offices under Nalbari districts are closed including government offices in Nalbari town, Mukalmuwa and Ghograpar. Nalbari Police has undertaken various measures to keep everyone in their homes. Only Police personnel and Medical services related people have been allowed movement in the Nalbari district.
It is to be mentioned that, on 16 April Five Assam districts, Golaghat, Nalbari, Dhubri, Goalpara and Morigaon were tagged as Red Zones by the Union Health Ministry .
