GUWAHATI: In view of Coronavirus outbreak in Assam, many people have come forward to support the government’s efforts against COVID19. Till 9.35 PM on April 5, 8054 people of the state have contributed a total amount of Rs. 17,37,09,641.73 to Assam Arogya Nidhi. This has been revealed by Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Taking to Twitter Dr. Sarma wrote, “Gives me immense joy to share that so far 8054 people have generously contributed in Assam Arogya Nidhi in aiding Government’s efforts in fighting #COVIDPandemic. The total collections stand at Rs 17.37 cr.”
