GUWAHATI: As Assam has been battling with COVID19 pandemic, many people have come forward to strengthen the government’s efforts against the deadly disease. So far, 31377 people have donated a total amount of Rs. 70.96 crore to Assam Arogya Nidhi.
According to the information shared by Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Twitter, 31377 people contributed a total amount of Rs. 70,96,99,403.32 to state COVID19 fund. Many people from the state have also donated to PM-Cares fund.
“Every drop counts! My gratitude to 31377 people who have contributed in Assam Arogya Nidhi as donations to fight #Covid_19.Glad to share that we have received Rs 70.96 cr so far. Today’s amount also includes 1 day salary of all Govt employees,” Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated in his Tweet.
