GUWAHATI: 24 persons from Nalbari who either attended the religious event at Athgaon Kabristan Masjid in Guwahati or came into contact with the returnees of Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin Markaz have been quarantined at Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati. They were shifted to Guwahati from Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital at Nalbari on Friday.
According to the reports, among the 24 people, 5 attended the religious event of 100 people at Athgaon Masjid in Guwahati on March 12. Meanwhile, 19 among them came into contact with the attendees of Nizamuddin Markaz.
On the other hand, 5 people from Lakhimpur who attended the event at Athgaon Masjid have been quarantined at Sarusajai. Another attendee from Hatsingimari under South Salmara-Mankachar district has also been put under quarantine.
