Guwahati: Amid rising Covid-19 cases and efforts to contain the spread, the Assam government on Wednesday announced that all the government and non-government offices will be closed for the next 15 days.
Among the new “stricter” curbs in the state, all the private and government offices will be closed from May 13 to the next 15 days.
The order also states that the government and Semi-Government Officers in the rank of Deputy Secretary and above and Senior Executives in Non- Government Sector along with their key support Staff will be allowed to attend office up to 1 PM only for emergency and essential works.
However, the oder will not be applicable for Organizations rendering Essential/Emergency Services, Law Enforcement Services and Election work.
