COVID-19 cases may rise in next three days: Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI: The Assam health department has been speeding-up COVID-19 testing facilities in the State. Talking to media persons at Jorhat, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the government has been trying to conduct 10 thousand tests per day in next three days. Therefore the number of cases in the State may rise in coming days.

“We have been trying to conduct 10 thousand tests daily in next three days. So the number of cases in the State may rise,” Dr. Sarma said.

He stated that the health department has conducted 8 thousand COVID-19 tests for the first time on Friday. Dr. Sarma also expressed hope that the State will gain stability within June 10.
