Coronavirus: Himanta Biswa Sarma visits Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital at Golaghat

GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today visited Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital at Golaghat where 8 Coronavirus patients from the district are being treated.

Minister Sarma visited the hospital to enquire about the status of the 8 Covid-19 patients who are admitted there. Dr. Sarma also reviewed the preparations for diagnosis and treatment of the patients. On the other hand, doctors assured to provide the best possible care to the patients.

On Wednesday, these 8 patients were found positive with Coronavirus, all of them had attended Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi. The patients have been identified as Wahida Begum and Anowar Hussain from Dergaon, Md. Haidar Ali and Alina Begum from Morongi, Ruma Begum), Saleha Begum Yakub Ali and Jasmine Begum from Merapani.

According to the reports, 56 people who came into contact with the Coronavirus patients have been kept in isolation at Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital.

Dr. Sarma was accompanied by ministers Pijush Hazarika, Atul Bora, MLAs from Golaghat district Ajanta Neog, Mrinal Saikia and Roselina Tirki.

He also chaired a meeting with the officials of district administration and health department at Golaghat Circuit House.
