Cooch Behar: BSF seizes huge amount of ganja, 2 held with truck

GUWAHATI: Border Security Forces Guwahati frontier apprehended two persons along with a truck containing 430 KG ganja and cash Rs. 49,990 in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal on Wednesday.

In a press release, BSF sources stated that acting on a tip-off, BSF launched a mobile check post for checking the vehicles in front of BOP Doradabri. The BSF personnel recovered the huge amount of ganja from a truck bearing Registration number RJ18 GB 2960.  The driver and co-driver were apprehended by the BSF. The accused have been identified as Norang Lal and Sardar Singh. Both of them are residents of Rajasthan.

  They have confessed that the consignment of ganja was sent from Toofanganj of Cooch Behar to Jaipur of Rajasthan. The driver and co-driver were paid Rs. 1,29,000 for the delivery of the consignment.
