Guwahati: Construction work for the BJP state headquarters formally started today in Bashista, Guwahati.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal took part in the construction starting ritual. He was accompanied by BJP Assam President Ranjit Kumar Dass, Dispur MLA Atul Bora, BJP State Organisation Secretary Phanindranath Sarma, Minister Naba Kumar Doley and MLA Numal Momin, and other party functionaries.
Speaking at the occasion Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, “The construction work for the Assam state BJP headquarters has formally started from today. The foundation stone for the Assam BJP headquarters was laid by then BJP president and present Home Minister Amit Shah. He had wanted the headquarters to be completed at the stipulated time. We should all come forward and contribute our share.”
