GUWAHATI: Leaving aside political differences, Assam’s Congress MLA from Mariani constituency, Rupjyoti Kurmi thanked finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for sanctioning Rs. 10 crore to undertake various developmental projects in his constituency.
Inaugurating a sub-station of Assam Power Distribution Company Limited under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana at Gabhoru in Mariani, in the presence of Jorhat MP Topon Kumar Gogoi, Kurmi expressed his gratitude to minister Sarma.
“I thank honourable minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for providing adequate amount of fund under the signature scheme. I hope we will be able to undertake many developmental projects,” said Kurmi.
“Under the signature scheme, every MLA of Assam was granted Rs. 10 crore for implementing a package of developmental projects,” said Lok Sabha MP Topon Kumar Gogoi.
