Guwahati: Reacting on the statement of Assam Congress MP Pradyut Bordoloi about their DNA being strong, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday stated that he agrees with MP Bordoloi as he firmly believes that one needs to have a strong DNA to bring all the immigrant Bangladeshis to the state.
Speaking to the media CM Sarma said, “When did I say that they have a weak DNA? I firmly believe that they have a strong DNA or else they couldn’t have done such big works. Bringing all the immigrant Bangladeshis in the state proves that they have a strong DNA. One with a weak DNA can’t do such things.”
CM Sarma further said, “The question is whoever comes up with such statements in the press cant give any kind of guarantee that they won’t join BJP. And I have observed a trend that whoever speaks too much against us are the one who later on joins the saffron party. So I would request you people that from next time whoever make such lame statements in the press please ask them if they can take a guarantee of not joining BJP in the future.”
