GUWAHATI: After the alliance between the Congress and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) was finalised on Saturday, Assam minister of state for health and family welfare Pijush Hazarika warned that the pact would be dangerous for the interests of the Assamese people.
“Tarun Gogoi, Ripun Bora and Congress gave the opportunity to Badruddin Ajmal to be the kingmaker of the political scenario of Assam. The Congress-AIUDF alliance which was finalised yesterday is the biggest dagger on the Assamese people,” Hazarika said on Sunday.
He stated that BJP would continue its fight to safeguard the interests of the Assamese people which have been threatened by the Congress and AIUDF.
Hazarika also claimed that the Congress would be wiped out in the Assam assembly elections in 2021.
