GUWAHATI: The war of words between Assam state BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora has turned interesting with the former claiming that high command would ask Bora to go for a voluntary retirement after 2021 assembly elections.
“After 2021 elections, Congress high command will ask Ripun Bora to retire voluntarily,” Dass said on Tuesday.
Earlier Dass claimed that he would never contest any election if his party doesn’t come into power in 2021. He also challenged APCC president Ripun Bora to make the same promise.
“We are not going to run away even if we lose the election,” Bora responded.
Meanwhile, Ranjeet Dass took a jibe at the Congress leader saying, “He has already accepted the defeat.”
