Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal unveiled a special poem by, Parthasarathi Mahanta, Superintendent of Police, Kamrup Rural District on Saturday evening.
The poem titled ‘মোৰ পৰিচয়’ (Mur Porichoy) is dedicated to every frontline warrior who went to war in the environment of Coronavirus.
CM Sonowal released the poems audio-visual in presence of Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta and Assam’s Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna.
The video for the poem was made by the prominent video editor Anupam Mahanta.
Actor Kapil Bora and actress Jerifa Wahid did also take part in the poetry reading program.
Speaking on the occasion SP Parthasarathi Mahanta said, “All the constables of Assam Police are our base. They are facing many challenges. The Assam Police have gone through a terrible time. My poem is written in honor of their sufferings and sacrifices of all the police constables”.
