GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday launched a speed boat of Assam Police in Majuli, the first river island district of the country.
Launching the speed boat, CM Sonowal expressed hope that the boat would help in strengthening the patrolling of Assam Police in the river island.
Earlier on Tuesday, chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal took part in several programmes on the occasion of the 5th foundation day of Majuli district.
Sonowal represents Majuli at Assam Legislative Assembly.
