GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia to the next of kin of the deceased of Digboi grenade explosion.
Two men – Surajit Talukdar and Sanjiv Singh lost their lives in the explosion on Friday afternoon.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday met the family members of victims and announced the financial assistance.
“Announced Rs 5 lakh one time financial assistant to next of kin of victims Talukdar and Sanjiv Singh,” Sarma said.
