GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited flood-affected areas in Chirang district of western part of Assam on Tuesday. Sonowal made inspection of the floods and erosion caused by the Aie river at Tulsijhora in the district. He instructed the officials for the fast completion of repair works.
The chief minister also visited flood relief camps in Noapara area and interacted with the affected people. He took stock of the relief measures and the healthcare facilities in the camp.
He was accompanied by water resources minister Keshab Mahanta and tourism minister Chandan Brahma.
