Meghalaya’s capital city Shillong is awash with the beautiful pink of gorgeous cherry blossoms and to celebrate the beauty the Cherry Blossom Festival in Shillong is all set to make a comeback this year and the event will be held from November 17 to 19.
This year the event will be held from November 17 to 19 at the RBDSA Sports Complex at Madan Kurkalang which is located on the outskirts of the city.
Every year in autumn, Shillong wears a shade of pink with the blooming of these flowers, giving people another reason to head to the hill station
The blooming cherry blossoms has everyone going gaga on social media, with many comparing Shillong’s magnificent landscape to that of Japanese and French cities.
The 2023 Edition of the festival will feature internationally acclaimed artists like Ne-Yo, Ronan Keatling, Jonas Blue, Pink Panda, Kenny Musik and SURL.
Popular Indian pop band SANAM will also perform, along with several other artists from Shillong and other Northeast states.
The three-day festival will also feature other activities such as cosplay competitions, Miss and Mr Cherry Blossom Pageant, choir contest, graffiti contest, art installation contest and karaoke contest.

Last year, the Shillong Cherry Blossom festival was cancelled by the Meghalaya government as a precautionary measure following tension at Assam-Meghalaya border.
