Guwahati: In a tragic incident early morning at least eight passengers sustained injuries of which two are critical after the bus they were travelling overturned and fell into a ditch at Baradi, Barpeta.
According to locals the accident occurred as the bus driver tried to avoid hitting a motorcyclist travelling on the same road.
The passenger bus was on its route from Barpeta to Guwahati when the accident occurred. There were around 18 passengers in the bus.
The injured passengers have been taken to Barepeta Medical College where they are receiving treatment.
