BSF ADG Eastern Command reviews operational readiness of Guwahati Frontier

GUWAHATI: Pankaj Kumar Singh, IPS, Additional Director General, BSF Eastern Command (Kolkata) along with Rajesh Kumar, IPS, Inspector General, Guwahati Frontier visited the Border area all along Indo-Bangladesh border under Frontier HQ Guwahati to review the current security situation and operational readiness. Singh was briefed by Rajesh Kumar, IPS Inspector General Guwahati Frontier on the operational preparedness and measures to combat situation arising from Corona Pandemic.

The ADG visited the “Isolation Facility” and quarantine centres at BSF location created for the suspected COVID-19 patients and BSF personnel who are returning from leave or any other duty. He appreciated the efforts of ‘COVID warriors’. He interacted with troops and commended efforts for taking adequate safety measures against the COVID-19 Pandemic and also maintaining high level of operational preparedness and also efforts in helping border population in their distress due to COVID – 19.

Pankaj Kumar Singh, IPS, ADG arrived at Frontier Headquarter Guwahati on Wednesday (20 May) to take stock of the readiness amid COVID-19 and also the operational preparedness along the international border. During his visit he was also briefed about border domination.

The ADG lauded the efforts made by the BSF Guwahati Frontier on fight against the pandemic and operational domination along the border. He also mentioned that BSF is doing a commendable job and effectively guarding the international border and also taking up several welfare measures for overall improvement of the force.
