GUWAHATI: Assam has recorded 1142 new COVID-19 positive cases out of the 20542 tests conducted on Sunday. Significantly, the positivity rate in the state has come down to 5.55 per cent.
On the other hand, among the new cases, 171 cases are from Guwahati. Kamrup and Darrang districts have reported 188 and 100 cases respectively.
At present, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam stands at 32228.
Taking to Twitter, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote,“Alert ~1142 #COVID patients detected out of the 20542 tests done in last 24 hrs.This means a low positivity rate of 5.55% – a good news. Guwahati- 171,Kamrup-188,Darrang 100
