BPF planning to loot Rs. 1500 crore of Bodo Accord: Pramod Boro

GUWAHATI: United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) president Pramod Boro hit out at Hagrama Mohilary-led Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) saying that the party was trying to loot Rs. 15 crore to be allotted by the centre under the Bodo Peace Accord.

Attending a workshop organised by UPPL at Salbari in Baksa on Wednesday, Pramod Boro alleged, “BPF government has already spent Rs. 4-5 thousand crore. It has borrowed Rs. 3-4 thousand crore. Now they are eyeing on Rs. 1500 crore under Bodo Peace Accord.”

The former All Bodo Students’ Union president also claimed that the people of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) need development in the region. Therefore, people have come out spontaneously to work for the sake of peace in the area.

Boro also said that people who were engaged in corruption would be punished one day.

On the other hand, 606 members from different organisations including former All Assam Minority Students’ Union (AAMSU) education secretary Sahjahan Ali Ahmed joined UPPL in the event.
