Bongaigaon admin launches ‘Project Jajabor’ to promote eco-tourism

GUWAHATI: The Bongaigaon district administration launched ‘Project Jajabor’ to promote eco-tourism in the western Assam district.

As a part of the project, a new eco-tourism camp site will begin at the Nakkati Hills from February 15.

Nakkati, a destination of awe-inspiring beauty provides an adventurous trekking experience. The main attraction of the Nakkati Pahar is its edge.

“The site will host facilities for overnight camp stay, night sky watching, food etc. At present a total of 4 camps with capacity of 3 person/camp are being installed.

Details of menu, facilities etc.will be shared soon. Cost per day per camp is Rs 500/,” the district administration said.
