GUWAHATI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Guwahati committee on Wednesday took out a Sankalp Yatra from Latasil Playground to Nehru Stadium in Guwahati.
Booth workers, Shakti Kendra and Mandal level members took part in the rally along with supporters. Senior BJP leader and Assam minister, Siddhartha Bhattacharya, former Guwahati Mayor and BJP city committee president Mrigen Sarania, Amtron Vice-chairman Ritubaran Sarma and other party members took lead in the Sankalp Yatra.
Speaking to media persons Siddhartha Bhattacharya said, “Today, through this Sankalp Yatra, we want each and every one of our teammates to take a resolution. We want everyone to know about BJP’s development-oriented journey of the last five years. This is what has to be taken to every person of Assam.”
It is to be mentioned that in the upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly elections, BJP has set a target of 100+ seats in Assam.
